guzman is a great boxer, but after ****ing up against campbell he now needs to concentrate on becoming a world champion again, he should not think too far ahead, i see a fight with marquez materialising for late 2009, a possible lightweight unification fight, that would be the best thing for guzman.

he should fight one of these fighters next, casamayor, katsidez, d.diaz or barrera, maybe even morrales if he decides to come back like he said.

There is a lot of talk about Guzman, but really who has he ever beat? His best three wins are against Agapito Sanchez, Humberto Soto, and Jorge Barrios. All three wins are solid, but not that of an elite fighter. Resume does have to factor in when comparing two fighters, and just not perceived skill. Guzman APPEARS to have the goods, but since his skills have never remotely been put to the test against a top twenty P4P fighter, we don't really know how they would measure up in comparison to someone like Manny.

In all reality, Guzman has only fought twice in the last two years, and one of them was a gimme fight last night. Guzman is already 32 years old and had his chance towards greatness and stardom against Nate Campbell. He didn't take advantage, and more than likely we will never know how Guzman would fare against elite level competition. In all reality, fighting Campbell is not that much of a step up from his other top wins against Soto, Guzman and Barrios.

In the end, from all the video footage we have of Manny and Guzman, a non-biased observer would have to go with Manny by easy UD or KO. Anything can happen in a boxing ring, but there just isn't any evidence that would lead a reasonable person to think that Guzman even belongs in the same ring as Manny.

Imagine Manny Pacquiao showing up overweight in his first fight against Barrera. barrera says its no problem but Pac still says no...

Guzman could have had his coming out party had he beat Campbell but instead he blew his shot to earn high profile fights in the future.

All the tools in the world to be a champ but for some reason finds a way to screw things up.

there are a few guys i would favor over manny, but guzman being one of them but he ****ed up so now we will never know and its his fault.manny is to big of a name for him and manny should only fight super and mega fights only.

I actaully think Guzman matches up very well against all fighters (Pac Included). I would love to see this match. And wouldnt be surprised if Guzman got the decision

I just feel like most fighters are afraid to face him because the guy is too talented.

Never seen Guzman actually fight, but his skills seem to get a lot of admiration. But his profesionalism seems to stink the place out a little.

This is incredibly gullible - but you're not the real Vitor Belfort, whom fought Tito Ortiz? Be honest.
