Not only should it have been ruled a knockdown, but the punch clearly got to Jermain. From certain angles it looks as if the punch lands on Taylor's shoulder. But another shows the punch grazes the shoulder and lands around the back of Taylor's ear. For the most of the time remaining in the round, Taylor fought defensively and clinched several times. I'll post the GIF shortly...
He's very good offensively. There's a reason why he gave defensive masters in Hopkins and Winky a lot of trouble (although I do feel that Hopkins won the first fight, but I won't go into that). I'm quite excited by his presence at super-middleweight.
Nice Antwun, clearly a knock down. But ultimately didnt matter as Taylor was in command the whole fight.
It was of course a knock down, Taylor moving out on the corner being hit and lost his balance, that has to be ruled a KD.
Lacy didn`t whack him on the jaw it was more a punch on the arm as Taylor went to block the punch and lost balance with it but he should of still took a count, his gloves easily touched the floor.Taylor certainly deserved the win,Lacy was shot ever since that drubbing he got from that lad from Wales.
There is a gif posted and you can clearly see that he didnt hit him on the shoulder but behind the ear and he didnt just touch the mat with a glove, he lay on it.
Yes. The simple way to tell was by the way Taylor acted afterwards. He acted just like a guy who had been knocked down.
are you ****ing kidding me? until pavlik floored his ass he was the most hyped fighter ever. if he wasn't praised on this board it was because a lot of guys on here knew he wasn't the **** that everyone cracked up.
He may have been too hyped prior to his Pavlik losses, but if anything right now he is being underrated and written off by more people than not.
