We'll agree to diagree, but in Naz's fight with Barrera he caught Marco with a picture perfect left hook in one of the rounds, and Barrera took it well. Morales never really looked hurt before the second Pacquiao fight, and certainly hadn't come close to being stopped, so I wouldn't favour Naz to do it, who never knocked out top tier competiition.

I realise Barrera always had Boxing ability, but the first time he really relied on it was in the Jones Junior rematch. Salud was an absolute master class, but I purchased my career DVD two weeks ago, so I shall be checking out hiw performance over Wenton, although I'm certain I've already seen it. My personal favourite MAB performance was the rubber match with Morales. For long periods of that fight, he was outboxing Morales. He had never outboxed somebody of that calibre before, Naz was not on that sort of level.

 

Morales was impossible to KO in his prime & would have been Hameds worst nightmare IMO as he could beat him whichever way he pleased, not sure about the other 3 of the mini-fab 4, MAB, Pac & JMM.

 

I don't get why people hold Naz getting beat by one of the greatest 126lb'ers ever against him, as if it bars him from the HOF because of that? Should Foreman be kept out of the HOF because he was sucky enough to lose to Ali? Hell no.

 

not really. what hurts him is what he did after the loss, nothing.

No, because Foreman also destroyed the likes of Frazier and Norton. Who did Naz beat? Kelley? :rofl

Hamed as much as i despise the arrogant ****er is undoubtly the hardest puncher between 122-130 so how did Junior Jones KO Barrera and Hamed couldnt?

 

Hamed was more annoying than Floyd.

 

naz's best days were at super bantamweight, he had everything at that weight class, reflexes, speed and power. no one at that weight could handle him, he was always too small for featherweight but at times this played to his advantage as fighters found it difficult to catch him flush. at the end barrera won because he fooled naz into thinking that it was going to be a toe-toe battle, but he wasn't going to risk that after already losing to marrales.

in the build up, i never once saw naz training hard, its as if he thought he didn't have to train for the fight and he was still good enough to beat barrera. there was one scene in the build up where naz and his crew were in L.A and looking up at big bear where barrera was training and they were saying **** like he is up there in the cold and we are chilling in the warmth, when you come out with shitty stuff like this then it isn't a suprise that naz lost.

barrera was too clever for naz, he outboxed him, naz did hurt barrera but barrera never made this show, there was an exchange where naz brakes barreras nose but it still looks as if barrera is winning the exchange.

 

Naz was a changed fighter is his last few bouts leading to MAB. He became flat footed, more static and just relied on power. Sanchez was kicking his azz until Naz hurt him on way to brutally knocking him out!

Naz was a thrilling fighter with huge talents but his attributes as an elite fighter diminished rather early and he knew this!

 

Cuz Naz was not the Naz we knew of. He was flat footed, looked bored ! MAB kept it technical and boxed smart where he would not engage with naz.

The bouncy clown style of Naz would have brought it on to MAB; i even recall Barry Mcguigan was complaining during the mid rounds about that is not the Naz we know, and Barry often criticized Naz's style since Naz was a domestic fighter.
