Joe is 46-0 and will announce in the new year whether he will retire. He has nothing to prove at Super Middle or Light Heavy, but an alternative to hanging uo the gloves is by lighting up the cruiser weight division before he dissapears.

Enzo Maccarioneli will likely regain his WBO cruiser belt early next year, but the division is lacking a shining light since David Haye moved up.

A fight between the 2 welsh gym mates is a natural and would pack the millenium stadium as well as dividing a nation. Enzo is small at the weight, a banger, but has a glass jaw. Joe walks round at cruiser and would see this as a new challenge.

This would be fight of the year with Joe winning by a late stoppage

Joe has beated a 43 year old via split decision, and a guy who was shot to **** about five years ago at LH, so I personally think he has plenty to prove, by either facing the winner of Dawson/Tarver or rematching Hopkins. Secondly, Enzo is not big box office, he his not a name in America, Joe is all about the money and he wouldn't get nearly enough for this fight. There are various other things wrong with your analysis, but I will let others go into them, if they so wish.

I like the idea, **** Hopkins and Dawson is over-hyped.

I think Vitali Klitchko would be a better fight

Jc walks around heavier than Enzo when not in training.
i would like to see Enzo at light heavy where his chin would not be put up against people who can hit as hard

I think Calzaghe walks around about 13st 10lbs typically.....

    Enzo about 13st 8lbs.

You only have to look at them side by side to be able to tell. Calzaghe is pretty thick set and broad, Enzo wiry.

A catchweight contest wouldn't be out of the question (about 185lbs)......

Other than the fact that they are best mates.

    Dream on :good

He should rematch B-Hop and then move up to cruiser for a few fights

They Spar all the time, Enzo said he learns loads and Joe said he doesn't stand still long enough to get caught, he isn't stupid either, so it won't happen.

Joe Calzaghe is the man. he wud UD or late stoppage Enzo. and all this **** about him being **** coz he beat a 43 year old man. coz bernard held on and cheated his way through, BHOP was on his way to a KO before he over did the low blow.

What i cant stand about americans, is Pavlik has done nothing compared to JC and is hailed as a God. and people say, Calzaghe has fought nobodys!. But after beating Jermain Taylor (which Calzaghe would do with ease) Pavlik has thought Gary Lockett and lost to BHOP.

In 2003 BHop had two fights retiring Hakkar, and putting on a boxing clinic against Joppy, and these were excellent performences against world class opposition

I had Calzaghe beating Hopkins, he just done enough. However, they should both be embarrassed by their performances. No one dominated and it was a poor show from two of the finest athletes in the sport.
