I have it from a good sorce that mundines eye is now not as bad as initially thought. Speaking to someone in the know it is said that the infection is in the front of the eye and did not reach the back of the eye where it can do most damage. So it being at the front of the eye suggest that the infection is easier treated and he should be able to box again. Was also told that the eye is improving a lot and we should see him in the ring again. Just hope that this infomation is legit and we get to see how far he actually can go in this tough sport and not left wondering.

****hooks teke is a ball lacking sack of crap! I put forward an avatar bet with him on this weekends game a few days ago, he later posted on the same thread but didn't acknowledge my offer.:-( Insecure. Weak. Pansy. :deal
Ok cockhead 2 Week bet. Im not confident as the news on a full Mundine recovery will lift the Souths spirits :-(
I said from day one this eye injury was overrated. I have worn contacts and in more recent years had surgey etc.....all along i have had infections and trouble with my eyes.....but now i have 100% vision. Team Mundine's panic was amateurish to say the least. In another month it will be history.
I dont pretend to be an optometrist/eye doctor but basic medicine would suggest that this is a good sign. If the damage is in the front then that rules out damage to the retina and optic nerve - these are the ones that cost you your eye site if anything happens. However the Iris and cornea could still come under threat and severe permanent damage may still happen. It is a good sign but he is not out of the woods yet - its a nasty infection oh and Teke? i know more than you champ :blurp
The Head eye surgeon from Royal Prince Alfred was on 2ue about a week after this came out, he said he gets about 55-60 cases like this every year related to infections from the mouth and also from the containers people keep them in, he said that a small percentage of people with this infection lose there eye and almost half have severely impared vision, he said that it does not look good for him and he will most likely lose most of his vision, so i think when people like that say that u will probably lose your vision thats a pretty good reason for a good panic attack
Deal, if you win, you may cease hosting that glorious avatar. If I win, you have to keep it for another 2 weeks on top of the 2 weeks still owing. :deal
I totlaly agree with you on this one as said he is looking better but if a doctor of that calibre says something like that and you have your career on the line I bet any one would be worried
atsch You are kidding me.....right ????? The ****** accuses others of being "dimwits" WTF is an "ACCURE"?:huh I couldn't work it out so I even ran it through Spellcheck. Damn near shorted out my PC. Even Spellcheck didn't have the faintest idea what the ****** was talking about.:nut The best alternatives it could come up with were...... "accrue, accurse, accuse, accrues, accrued"...... FFS......What a ****ing dumbarse. Don't bother hitting back with the old "Oz picking on spelling mistakes" BULL****. It would be preferable if you restricted yourself to single syllable words and give yourself a fair to middling chance of understanding them.:deal This is seriously DUMB ****........year 2 at best. UN****INGBELIEVABLE! You are a stupid ****!:yep
