Hatton v pac that would be a great fight. Please arum let it be at Wembley as I only have to get a train down their rather than fly halfway across the atlantic especially with the credit crunch going on.

I disagree. I don't believe Floyd could stop Manny, and I think Manny's workrate and punch output make this competitive and exciting, though he may very well be outpointed.

I agree on both counts. Pac-Hatton and Pac-JMM III would both be storming fights that I'd favour Pac to win.

I think this will happen, and I think it will be a great great fight, but I honestly cannot pick a winner. I slightly favour Margo at 147, but who knows. Two very good fighters IMO.

You have no interest in seeing the world p4p#3 fight the world p4p#4 when they went to an SD last time and there is real bad blood between them?? I find that very odd. I would absolutely love to see a rematch.

I must say I think it is rather arrogant and dismissive of you to imply that the judge who scored the fight for B-Hop is incompetent.

You may prize workrate/volume/activity/aggression more highly than quality of work, clean punches, defensive work, ring generalship, but that doesn't mean everyone does nor does it mean that you are correct and those of us who disagree are incorrect.

I think both means of scoring a boxing match are valid, and although I disagree with your viewpoint I still wouldn't dismiss it as wrong or incompetent. The judge who scored the fight for Hopkins (like I and many others on this forum) clearly did not score points for ineffective aggression, blocked shots and nullified attacks, nor did for artists not artisans. For me, this is not worthy of earning points. Check out San Rafael's scoring and analysis of the fight in his thread from last week for clean punch statistics that are far closer to the truth than the lamentable Compubox stats.

In saying that, I wouldn't mind if Calzaghe fought Dawson rather than put himself through another torrid evening with a more skilled boxer. Cal-Dawson would probably be a more exciting fight, and Dawson is a legitimate challenge for Calzaghe in his own right.

You should. This would be the most exciting fight of '09 bar none.

I think this would be another smashing fight, but I'd strongly fancy AA to win.

Both would be very exciting. I'd back Donaire and Guzman to win, but they are pretty much toss-a-coin contests. I think Guzman is widely overrated.

Both good choices. I think Kessler-Froch in particular would be a cracking fight.

Id much prefer Pac Hatton to Pac Mayweather...

Also I see Calzaghe fighting Jermain Taylor in first half of the year and Dawson in the second half.

pac will not fight thrice in 2009, specially not against jmm, hatton, and pbf. he'll fight in may so having 2 fights in seven months seems a bit far-off for pac.

i'd replace pac-jmm with cotto-margo 2 and replace guzman-valero with the winner of diaz-jmm vs campbell.

I'm excited about Kessler being involved in a fight with Taylor or Winky. Or Froch.

Darchinian V Arce has me excited too.
