Really? I would love to hear some examples, because I personally know quite a few pro football players. One example would be Joey Galloway, who happens to live (hometown) about 5 minutes from me, and I have known him for years. He is a big boxing fan, and he thinks Klitschko is a beast. I actually watched Klitschko vs Brock at a mutual friends house, and he had some friends from his team there... and they were all going crazy when he sparked Brock out. All of them were saying that he looked like "Drago", and were impressed with him. I also watched the Brewster rematch with Joey and Nate Davis (QB at Ball State), and they were both going on and on about how impressive his speed was for a guy that big. I talk boxing EVERYWHERE I go, and I have talked about it with several tops sports figures, football players, MMA fighters, Olympic wrestlers, ect... and I have never heard a single one of them say anything negative about Klitschko.

You talk out of your ass.

Neither brother gets the credit their due, particulary Wlad. Had they been born Americans they would be the biggest thing in sport right now and MASSIVE national heros.

David Tyree and other Giants were at MSG when Klitschko beat Ibragimov. They were at the post fight press conference paying their respects to Klitschko. I know a few Giants players and they have high respect for Klitschko, such as Renaldo Wynn who is a huge boxing fan. Osi Umenyiora is too, he is actually a huge Pavlik fan (but haven't talked to him since the Hopkins loss :). Strahan's father actually boxed Ken Norton twice in the military.

I think most NFL players who are all exceptional athletes themselves who follow boxing respect what both Klitschko's have accomplished and the manner they have done it.

ESPN magazine had a interiew with T.J. (man I know I would **** up tryin' to spell his last name, but to other good Bengals reciever than Chad Johnson) sayin how he absolutely loves boxing and how he watches every fight he can, and something about having to order the Zab/Cotto PPV while they were riding on their bus.

I love the Klitschko's, but not just for their accomplishments in the ring. It's the way they conduct themselves outside the ring that truly embodies the words "World Champion". They are humble, respectful, and honorable champions. They are educated and actually care about more than just themselves and boxing. They are some of the most charitable professional athletes in the world. They are PHD's and they understand the importance of worldwide education. They even hold amatuer boxing events in third world countries with the earnings placed in education funds for the youth of those countries. They are true world champions in every sense and I feel they are a "breath of fresh air" in a very corrupt sport. You see, when I watch a Klitschko fight, it's about alot more than just boxing, it's about everything they stand for!!

Certainly not! I think Ali for instance had a harder time than Wlad.

I think Wlad is overrated. Yes he beats everyone at the moment, but he is fighting bums all the time.

Thompson, Brock, Chambers, Rahman, Johnson, Byrd etc.

A prime Lewis or Tyson would have beaten him.

So he is the best in a very weak era (similar to Marciano), which of course is not his fault but does not make him great either.

The only one able to beat him at this moment would be his brother, but this will never materialize.

Arreola sucks completely and would get killed by both brothers.
With Haye I am not sure. Would be a great match against either of the brothers but I doubt he will be able to defeat them. He might have a better chance against Wlad whose chin is not the best as we all know.

Povetkin is overrated as well and will get beat by Wlad.

I also hope that one of the brothers KOs Valuev who is just a disgrace for boxing. This is a sport that saw great athletes such as Ali, Frazier, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis and now we have Povetkin and Valuev. Sad!

Povetkin has some of the best amateur credentials of any fighter in any weight division in Olympic history. Arreola is undefeated and got up from a knockdown to K.O. the other guy in his last fight. Very impressive and a dangerous heavyweight contender. Wlad never even fought Chambers or Johnson. Sasha defeated Chambers and Vitali gave Kirk his walking papers. Do some research NEWBIE before you post. Don't let your mouth write a check that your body can't cash. It's time to put your big boy pants on now son. Your posting to a boxing site that is frequented by very knowledgable fans, fight trainers, and even fighters themselves. Come on boy. STEP LIVELY. You can do better than this.

Many casual boxing fans enjoy fights with a low technical level and a high brutality rate. They respect fighters with low intellect that brawl at press conferences and trash talk their opponents in barely intelligible rants.
Mike Tyson was the last deified HW champion because of his ferocious disposal of C-level fighters with short-shorts, high socks, and beautiful mullets/grandiose afros. Despite being dominated by Douglas in his prime he is still widely considered unbeatable because he threatened to eat his opponents' children and butt-**** reporters till they loved him.
A dignified, intelligent HW champion with a technically sound style will never be widely respected by the casual fan because most don't appreciate the technical aspect of the sport. At least not until they've been retired for a few years. look at these boards now and Lennox Lewis is treated with the respect he should've received while he was active.
Hopefully after a couple more years of domination, those that constantly insult Wladimir Klitschko will tire of waiting for loss that will never come and move on to the next polite, highly skilled fighter worth their derision.
