Doubt if anyone would put up that amount of money, but Lewis said he would fight Vitali for that amount, Hell, I would fight Godzilla for that amount of money! Of course, Lewis does not want to fight Vitali ever again and I don't blame him. Vitali by knockout.

Lewis has no intention of fighting, he seems to throw out random figures every other week.

Lewis promised Vitali a rematch, yet he retired instead. Vitali and Vlad are the best heavyweights living today, it was Lewis who said he would fight Vitali for $100,000,000. Just read it. However, Lewis said that because he does not want to fight Vitali. I thought you said that Peter would knock Vitali out? Hell, Vitali had not fought in four years! You said that Austin would knock Vlad out, but did not happen, you said Thompson would knock Vlad out, Rahman, and anyone else he fought. He also won the gold medal, superheavyweight division, Gee, How did he do that? Lewis was ready to go at the end of the 6th round, even Max Kellerman, who was sitting behind Lewis' corner said that! Vitali was just getting warmed up, he has great stamina and an iron chin. He broke Lewis' nose, and staggered him more than once, took Lewis' best punches which did not hurt him, yet his punches staggered Lewis. Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was robbed of the title that night, he was Ali and Leonard's trainers and a great cut man. He should know. So, go tell Lewis to come out of retirement, Vitali will be waiting for him.

My comments above was to the children, who probably did not even see the fight, not to the last post above. Max Kellerman was a well known Klitschko hater at the time he made his comments about Lewis in that fight. I spoke with him on the phone years ago, on the air, about the Klitschko hating.

Lewis wont ever fight again, asking for that amount tells you this, I dont blame him, he isnt stupid & knows his boxing history, champions un-retiring generally sees them getting their ass handed to them by the more active fighter.

For the record, if Lewis gave Vitali a rematch rather than retiring back in 03 I think Vitali wins but prime v prime I think Lewis wins, of course I could be wrong with both predictions such is the nature of boxing, thats why we`re all here on ESB I suppose, difference of opinion.

Please, Lennox had a successful career, and has nothing to prove. He probably felt that the Klitchko fight would be a good one to go out on. He obviously wasn't at his best, and while he may have been a bit fortunate to prevail, he deserved to win. He's a smart guy, and possibly realized he wasn't going to get any better at this point in his life so he went out on top. Good for him. Even in losing Vitali raised his stock big time in that fight with a courageous , exciting performance, so he shouldn't get too bummed out about not getting a rematch either.
