As long as the best Europeans face the best Americans I don't care where they fight. Stage - Pavlik-Abraham in Cleveland or Atlantic City - Taylor-Kessler in Arkansas and you'll have a large, enthusiastic crowd, too. Don't make the mistake and stage the fights in Vegas - in a small casino with only two or three thousand spectators. But again: If the fights take place, I won't complain where they fight.
Co-feature: Kessler/Bika Main Event: Taylor/Froch Sounds like a good card to me, and helps to hype Kessler/Taylor!
He will definitely fight Kessler as long as they both stay near the top of the division. Calling Taylor a ***** is a joke. He's consistently fought much better opposition than Kessler has.
LOL.. I would not be surprised if he fought the winner of Winky-Willimas. It is a lower risk fight than Kessler or Abraham. On the other hand it is thinking the fans are dumb. If Taylor has any ambitions he should go for the best in the division. Simpe really. In MW Pavlik (been there done that) and in SMW Kessler. Simple. IF he doesn't - well, then he severely lacks self-confidence.
Not since the olympics in Sydney, but he hasn't needed to. At MW he was the man. At SMW it's a little different scene with most of the top fighters being outside the US at the moment. But Europeans are far to quick to accuse an American fighter for not traveling, when the fact is that we live in a country of 300 million people that spans 3000 miles coast to coast. Taylor has fought in every corner of the U.S., but only a handful of times in what you might call his "backyard".
If you are going to call out any fighter who isn't actively seeking out a fight with the best man in their division unambitious or lacking confidence, then you've got a long day ahead of you. Because it definitely doesn't start or end with Taylor, who is about the worst target you could choose considering he's coming off of two losses and just moved up in weight.
Doesn't mean a bigger pay day, and let's be honest, we can all point to "home town gifts" in either location. Would boxers based in Germany be as big a draw if the locals weren't pretty much guaranteed a win for their guy? Saurland casts a pretty big shadow.
OK. I think used to think you were just an over enthusiastic fan. Now I see you are a hater trying to get him killed.
