I was biased and pickde Tito...but I honestly felt that Hopkins was old and couldn't handle the fire that Tito brought. Boy was I wrong atsch:verysad I honestly felt that the delay (9/11 preventing the fight from happening because of air travel) had a lot to do with his motivation/signature anger going down. It seemed to me that Tito wanted to kill Hopkins after bashing PR during the conferences...but then sorta calmed down a bit afterwards and just wondered when the hell the fight would happen.
I thought it would be a tough fight actually. I remember telling everyone I was watching the fight with to check out this guy's work (Hopkins). He's insanely crafty! I was expecting a masterful foulfest but, I didn't expect him to put on the masterful boxing lesson he did on Tito.
Hopkins was in his prime and nobody would've beaten then and Tito thought was superman depending on his left hook and I said then this would be begining of the end of Tito.
i've been hardcore fan for a while, and even tho i thought B-hop was an ******* for disrespecting PR the way he did, i knew tito wasn't going to be able to beat that beast. i knew B-hop was too versatile and most importantly to strong for tito. most of the people i was with i was watching the fight with, EVEN when B-hop fought oscar, would make tito or oscar the favorites. i think i made $40 off the tito fight, but i was surprised how many people were making tito or oscar the favorites to beat B-hop. they were for the most part ignoring me when i'd say B-hop had a great chance of beating tito.
