Anyone on this site know the guy personally???? I believe I met him, at an open air resturant on Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro, December 2001, with an enterauge of half a dozen blokes. Joined the table for a few hours, got a pic etc... told me to join them the following night.. unfortunately, I was with a gal with no appreciation for boxers.. (or decent swimwear for that matter:good)...

Always wondered if it was Nas?? Just seemed a little taller than I expected. Talked the talk about his career... still wondering though..??
Seemed like a pretty nice bloke... loved a joke, and actually seemed humble.... a few clowns at the table though..

    Anyone??

I don't mean to judge him but after seeing a documentary called something like 'Little Prince Big Fight',I think he is a bit of an idiot. He was good yes but not half as good as he thought he was

Bizzare post but excellent if true! If it was end of 2001 then he may well have been acting humble as he'd just had his arse handed to him by MAB. He was 5'4 I think so really was a short arse.

i heard carl thompson hated him as he boasted about his belts and his money when carl wasnt making alot

i read in Calzaghes book that in a limo thompson went nuts at him and naz acted like a bully who had just been shown up and was telling carl what the hell was that for i thought we was cool

    IMO an arrogant *****

Have to say, Im still puzzled??? He laughed as soon as I mentioned Kevin Kelly.... almost an appreciative laugh.. He responded something like "Ohh Yeaahh.... (laughing).. my god" and seemed half embarrased about the other guys at the table talking about him..

Nothing at all seemed cocky, or egotistic.. just a bloke enjoying himself with friends. Never did he raise his hands to jokingly shadow box when chatting about Kelly, or praise himself.

I'll post the pic.. and let you guys tell me if I'm mistaken. Back soon with it.

One final note.. the accents of all was unmistakably Brittish... also, when I first approached the table, questioning him if he was Nas, he responded " no, no".. ten seconds later, he said to pull up a chair... and join him??? Thats pretty much the reason I found him humble from the offset.

i dont think naz would be scared of Carl thompson,

Naz sparred with heavyweights and they said he hit hard

then again Carl was pretty amazing fighter

In the confines of a limo, with nowhere to run and with no hangers on or flunkies to separate the two, he'd have shat it, big time.
