Heavyweights - Bodyshot KO's

    As mentioned a few weeks ago, they're rare. But they do happen. What examples come to mind for you?

    Bonecrusher Smith knocked out Jeff Sims with a single bodyshot in the first.

    The first Spinks/Tyson knockdown was from a bodyshot I believe.


    Dimitrenko knocked out Krasniqi with a bodyshot recently.

    Fitzsimmons against Corbett.

    It's actually interesting that heavyweights seem to be able to take bodyshots better than smaller fighters, but at the same time are more susceptible to getting knocked out by headshots than them.

    Although no doubt there are some, i find it hard to think of one. Ali vs Wepner? :lol:

    More padding around the vital organs.

    Chins don't particularly get extra weight/size to cushion shots. Unless you're Rosie O'Donnell or someone similar. :lol:
