Calzaghe has to keep fighting until he gets knocked out at the age of 40 so all the haters can flop out their tinkers and wank to the tune of 'I told you so'. It's pathetic. He's done enough already. Retire.

In terms of talent it is a great match. However, if I was Calzaghe's manager, I would be well aware that he won't make enough money to justify the risk. He can make more against easier opponents.

the only reasonable fight i think is joe vs hopkins II. i know the first fight was a bore fest, but i feel hopkins would be more willing to fight a second time around because he looked great against pavlik when he turned it on, plus i dont think joe could seriously hurt hopkins. joe would still win but would be a hell of a lot better than the first fight. have it a millenium stadium in cardiff, 80,000 and then goodbye joe. However my gut feeling is joe will retire.

Dawson dont really deserve to fight joe, but as hes a yank he is supposedly the next big thing. where we heard that before?

A lot of people in Montreal think so. By the way, why isn't Diaconu calling out Calzaghe? Everybody else is.:huh

Hopkins couldn't match the workrate. Why will that change? Hopkins dictated the pace against Pav which is why he looked so good but he can't do that with Calzaghe. It will be another ****, close, stinker of a fight. I won't wait up to watch it and **** paying to see it.

in the past 3 years joe has fought Lacy, Bika, Manfredo (who was ranked no.10 by Ring), Kessler, Hopkins and Roy Jones...hardly a bad set of oponents...

Ummmm...I guess that depends, doesn't it?

Roy Jones (already shot...badly...), Hopkins was 43 (still good, but very old), Kessler (whose resume is as full of bums as Calzaghe's is), Manfredo (joke TV show star, no credible wins as a contender-level fighter), and Lacy (most overrated fighter in the last few years).

Combine that with the bums Calzaghe fought in his other 40 fights...not so great.

Calzaghe has 2 over the hill HOFers on his resume, and that's really it. One (Hopkins) was an incredibly close fight. The other (Jones) was completely shot as a top-level fighter.

I'm not overly impressed with that resume.
