watched this on Setanta last night, an interview with Sauarland, he said that he had it as a draw when he watched the fight but after he watched it a few times he had it as a clear win for Valuev. And that most people at ringside had Valuev up by a couple of rounds. I dont have any way of watching the fight again, not that I would want to anyway, but has anyone changed their mind on this?
holyfield won that 1, I scored it and it was clearly holyfield UD. However both of them done equally bad and don't deserve to even have a crack at the world title let alone win one, so I dont feel bad for the robbery
Kalle Sauerland is a sissy who has no business in boxing. I hope Holyfield knocks this sleazeball girly mans head off when they meet again
Kalle Sauarland is right. I thought Valuev won on the night, even with that goliath effect he was talking about, and it would probably look more convincing without sound as mentioned. Lots of people made their minds up after three rounds that Holyfield was winning the fight - kind of sheep mentality I thought - and everyone jumped on the bandwagon and didn't notice the subtle changes in the rounds as the fight developed. This subtle change being Holyfield not throwing any punches at all after the fifth and Value forcing the action as well as throwing slightly more. Value is a **** fighter though and it was a **** fight.
This thread is completely pointless. Kalle Sauerland is the son of the CORRUPT Wilfred Sauerland. So, the father so the son. Valuev is managed by the CORRUPT Sauerlands for CHRIST SAKE. What is the point of all this?
Horrible fight i turned it off after the 9th round, both guy's deserved to be DQ'D for lack of effort:-( I don't feel bad for Holy, felix sturm and Axel Schultz were robbed here in the US, IF HE FIGHT'S IN THE OTHERS GUY'S BACKYARD AND CAN'T ko him, WELL IN A CLOSE FIGHT, don't expect to get the benefit of the doubt:-(...
But Hugo Garay (from Argentina) won a close one against German Jurgen Brahmer last month in Germany. The German/European judges are about as fair as the Americans. Both have dodgy decisions sometimes but that is boxing. The Holyfield-Valuev decision was not as bad as people think. The fight could have gone either way.
