Gamboa was NOT top of the line in Cuba, just a fighter with some decent skills. And in order to consider Gamboa as an overrated fighter you have to wait and expect for him to get KO'd, otherwise you're talking nonsense.

Cubans only perform well in the amateurs. But once they get to the pro's they don't last to long. Their amateur style shows along with the sloppy mistakes and worthless point punches. That won't do anything in a 8+ rounds fight. Gamboa will be no exception to this. The first time they put him in with someone good, he will get knocked out.
