Who else is pissed off with Kessler?

Kessler is the #1 at 168 by default. He hasn't proved anything other then losing to Calzaghe.

 

The fight should have been at 175 Kessler is a big SMW.

 

They told Dawson he was too big:-(

 

Well it's not fair to put the blame on Kessler since neither he nor Dawson pressed for the fight.

 

His manager did Kessler didn't and Kessler is having contractual issues with his manager now...

 

Before he fought Calzaghe he unified the WBC and WBA title, he fought Mundine in Australia and took on Andrade as his first mandatory and dealt with him in style. What has Bute done to be above Kessler at SMW? What has Froch done to be above Kessler at SMW? What has Taylor done to be above Kessler at SMW? What has Balzay done to be above Kessler at SMW?
Kessler is not the 1# smw by default, but he sure as hell is the 1# smw as of now...

 

That is bottom line on that. We now know Kessler and Palle had different aims. I'm liking Kessler more.....

Miranda?

Okay, so it'd have been exciting while it lasted. Get over it. Miranda isn't in Kessler's league, and aside from having been pushed by HBO for a while he hadn't actually done anything to deserve that fight; around the time it was being talked about his record going back five fights was 3-2 against Abraham, Gibbs, Green, Pavlik, and Porras.

That'd be like getting pissed off with JMM for walking away from a BobPac fight.

 

Kessler is nothing but a class act, and a great fighter. If you were actually informed about boxing you would know that he is struggling to get big fights.

 

Well, in fairness, there was some question about that until we found out Palle was working against them behind Kessler's back.

 

yes, was this an old thread? Either-way, I do believe his camp was quoted about how they didn't want Dawson because he is really a cruiserweight... I thought that was pretty lame, I don't know the validity of this though.

 

I thought that was pretty lame too. Dawson is one of the couple of biggest fights for him out there - and they turn it down. Then moan that they can't get big fights...

 

Palle turned it down... Kessler would probably take this fight at catchweight in a heartbeat.

 

The sad part about ALL this is that kessler's prime years are being wasted.
I know he wants big fights. His record proves such. He is a great fighter
that is even up w/ anyone in the world b/n 168-175lbs. All of his options of pavlik, dawson, and winky didn't happen and weren't mikkel's fought.

All i can say is if hopkins is going to fight on, why not fight kessler for
the WBA 168 pound title in vegas or MSG. That would make hops a 3
weight champ, and since they both lost to joe. Why not!?
Otherwise nard should retire. Since that fght won't happen. Now you can see the dilemna kess is in. Fighters who he deserves to share the ring w/
won't go near him, while guys who don't deserve to fight him are calling him out for sh-t money in sh-t venues.
