Carwin will probably get hurt. But the UFC is really trying to sell GG, they see his talent and size obviously but I doubt if he can hang with the elites at HW. Someone is going to break him down again down the line, this Dos Santos kid might well be the one.
i dont think carwin has a ground game so this is a lame fight i want to see santos ve carwin thats like sure to be a ko finish
this fight has me a bit puzzled. carwin gets two 4th raters in his first two fights........has beaten no one who is even a fringe contender and then gets gonzaga. that is weird. the ufc rarely give newcomers such easy fights...........unless they consider the guy to be a prospect. so to me, if they wanted to waste a guy like carwin, why didnt they throw him in with someone like cheik kongo for his first fight???? perhaps they think this guy has a future. from what i saw from carwin, he looks talented. very talented. he looks to have that amazing core strength that is typical for great wrestlers. and again like a typical wrestler, he has great takedowns and once on the floor, he looks to mount and ground and pound. add heavy hands and that lesnar like size..........and you have a very dangerous guy. but can he handle gonzaga??? on paper.......forget it. gonzaga has been in with much better fighters.............much much much better than carwin has. but gonzaga seems to have a problem with wrestlers and their style of fighting (see randy couture). so even though gonzaga has to be the clear favorite, i give carwin a chance. might be a pretty good underdog bet.
