Same here. Id rather see him fight Griffin or Rashad. Theres no need for him to waste time beating Jardine.

It is bro thats the name of the card UFC 97 - Jackson vs Jardine and the co main event is Gonzaga vs Carwin. This is a horrible PPV for an economy like this they where better off sticking this card and 98 together these 2 fights with Shogun-Liddell and Leites-Silva would be pretty good but alone they both sucks IMO.

This should be a fun match, but it shouldn't even be a co-main event, let alone the biggest fight of the night. :patsch

These PPV's keep getting worse and worse. Who wants to shell out big money to see fights that just don't really matter?

I feel like we get one BIG fight a year. This year it's GSP/BJ Penn. Then it's a a whole lot of washed up stars like Liddell and Silva battling a whole slew of other washed up people.

Well Franklin-Hendo is a nice match but I agree the PPVs and its biggest fights are looking sorry assed for the most part. Obviously BJ-GSP II is an exeption but you got Shogun vs Coleman II both guys are finished todays fight proved that for Shogun,UFC 96 Gonzaga vs Carwin is a good fight but has Carwin ever even been on a main card ? Gonzaga beats a couple bums now the winner probablly gets a title shot. Then of course you have Jardine vs Jackson :patsch Who in this economy wants a fight that will end in 30 secounds ? UFC 97 agian a shot Shogun vs a finished Liddell who has no punch resistance left and Leites vs Anderson Silva im sorry but thats boring I want the so called best fighter in the world in bigger fights then Irvin,Leites and Cote its getting old fast. Hughes vs Serra ? Serra fights once a year and is blown up Welterweight anyway while Hughes just seems to be going through the motions while getting his ass beat in every fight its a co main event with no title implications but atleast Mir-Lesnar may get on the same card. Its starting to look like the UFCs just going to try and recycle these guys if possible for as long as possible. Shogun-Liddell winner will probablly get a title shot soon after I bet especially if its Liddell,Hughes-Serra same thing they will hype up the winner and try to do a title match especially if Hughes and BJ win upcoming fights,Couture-Nogueira will happen later this year likely im postive that winner will get a title fight.

We all know Jardine has trouble with guys who have explosive Ko power; this will be no different, he will be laid out flat yet again.

Have you guys seen the rest of the rumoured fights for this card?

    Quinton Jackson vs. Keith Jardine
    Shane Carwin vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
    Matt Hamill vs. Mark Munoz
    Dustin Hazelett vs. Ben Saunders
    Mike Patt vs. Brandon Vera
    Gray Maynard vs. Jim Miller
    Tim Boetsch vs. Jason Brilz
    Jason Day vs. Kendall Grove
    Matt Brown vs. Pete Sell
    Shane Nelson vs. Aaron Riley

This event looks awful. The least they could have done was give a solid main event.

not sure why alot of you are writing off Jardine so easily, the guy has wins over liddell,Griffin and Vera. If he can stick to his game plan and not get sparked early I give him a good shot at this. Greg Jackson will have his game plan for Jardine it's just a matter if Jardine can execute.

carwin vs gonzaga could be fun...........but it could also end in desaster. carwin looks to have the talent, but since he never faced anything even close to the level he will be going up against gonzaga, he could be simply run over like a deer in the headlights.

maynard vs miller and hazelett vs saunders will be good technical matchups...............but thats a little thin.

cause face it: the two main events could very well end within a minute. and thats not what you want to have when you have to shell out the big bucks....

I don't really want to see this fight either. A Rampage/Shogun match would be more interesting.
