    :D

“I never claimed that I had the best boxing technique in the world,” Emelianenko said through an interpreter. “I never actually made any generalizations about what type of boxer I am. [Roach] has trained a lot of great fighters and maybe he’s right, but we’ll see what happens in the ring. We’ll see what Andrei has to offer. We’ll see what I have to offer him.”

I think something to keep in mind is, Fedor has always valued striking ability, a lot.. I think he is on record saying that if he could be more specialized at one thing, it would be punching.. I believe he was also talking to encourage his nephiew? to pursue that path..

That being said, I think Fedors striking can be cleaned up, but he has some of the best instinct and vision for striking as it is already.

I think Roach is good with the mind games. I think his move to get a hefty penalty if Oscar weighed in over the limit turned out to be genius. Oscar was so worried he ended up giving up his weight advantage.

That said, you think he believes he can 'goad' Fedor into a stand up battle thinking his guy has a better chance?

You could be right! I hope that Andrei surprises everyone! But you can't bet against Fedor! he's the ****ing man. I just "HOPE" we see the upset happen and see something we haven't from Andre.

I am not with you on this one dude. I want Fedor to win. I like the mystique around him. Very few athletes in the world carry that aura of invincibility around them, we all know everyone can lose of course, but I don't want to lose that feeling about Fedor yet. :yep

I like that about Fedor myself! I just like Andre! he has great striking and nice hands but his chin is suspect! I think he did well for as long as it lasted but to me....I think Andre showed that Fedor is beatable with the right style and game plan. Andre just went about going after Fedor too wildly! and got caught. That was a vicious KO!

Many people have already shown that Fedor is beatable. It's just that no one seems to beat him.

Only Cro Cop and AA have shown weakness in Fedor. And it's only in his stand up. Not that Fedor has poor stand up. He just has looping punches that are and can be capitalized on. But yea...agreed, No one has been able to defeat Fedor which is very impressive. There is no doubt who the best MMA HW in the world is.....I just wished I could see a fight including Fedor last longer than a few seconds or a few minutes.

Randleman supplexed Fedor on his head..

    Coleman took Fedor down.

Lindland really busted up fedor with one punch....

The list goes on and on ...not to take anything away from Fedor but others have shown that he's human...

Hunt had him in side control attempting a submission. Nogueira had his back for few seconds. Fujita had him doing lambada.

    Arona was all over him.
Heath had a side mount on him and was landing knees.
    Coleman had his back.
Randleman randleplexed him on his head.
    Fujita'd wobbled him badly.
Nog had him on his back a few times in their fights.
Crocop had him badly wobbled, broke his nose and made him **** blood.
Hunt had two submissions on him, just inches away from finishing. (if only he had more knowledge)
HMC was on top of him twice, landed some powerful hammerfists.
Lindland badly badly cut him with 1 punch.

Makes the "Arlovski made him look slighty uncomfortable" arguement look quite pathetic in comparison.

You forgot to mention Tim Sylvia broke Fedor's thumb with his face and had him out for 3 months.
