I honestly think the headbutt is what Woke Manny up, Erik was taking him to school in the previous rounds, and the clash of heads let Manny know that not only was he behind and needed to step it up but that the cut was bad enough to stop the fight at any given notice, the cut was a blessing I think it saved Manny further embaressment. Manny was just not mentally ready for this fight, he had too many outside distractions following him through camp, I was at Wildcard during this time in which Roach advised Manny to seek a new promoter found out they were ripping Manny off most of his money, when Murad caught wind of Freddys advice, basicly he had someone in the gym each and every day that Manny was there to basicly babysit him, well the way I saw it was they made a presence to try and bulldog him into staying with M&M. What also ****ed Roach up was that days before the fight, they finally read the fine print regarding the gloves, but I wouldnt say the gloves alone won the fight for Morales it was a mix of all the bull**** Manny was dealing with leading up to the fight, top that off with a couple hundred Phillipinos showing up at the gym while your training every day and you have the perfect formula to lose.
part of the game! No "What ifs" in boxing. We can speculate all day and come up with "What if" Outcomes but what good would it do. EM beat PAC....point blank! But it wasn't easy!
If a shot Morales was able to give one last hurrah against a prime Pac, the a prime Morales KO Pacquiao with a barage of body shots.
Part of the game, Yes.... and EM beat Pac point blank, I agree! But to think that fighting with only one eye does not alter a boxer's performance is downright foolish!
That's a very good question! I have no answer to this but let me guess. Probably Morales was so shot at that stage that even his brain was no longer functioning properly.:-(
Yeah, a bright fight plan made a lot easier by suddenly fighting a one eyed opponent for 7 rds which earned for Morales a close UD!!! A great win, really great!!!
Precisely! To avenge a loss which Pac thought shouldn't had happened. If anything, Pac admitted after TKOing Morales twice that he (Pac) is not better than Morales!:good
I can't believe anyone would diss a fighter of the calibre of Eric Morales. IT speaks volumes of your knowledge of the boxing world.
JMM would school Pac anytime anywhere like he did before but just the same he would lose to Pac until he learn to avoid getting KD. With JMM's advancing age, Pac might finally KO or TKO him anytime anywhere even in the streets of Mexico.
