I've been saying this for yeas and completely agree. I think Chris would be an incredible trainer, hell, he already has his own gym in his back yard!

So why can't he fight a guy ranked 10-15 just to see how he fits? Sometimes guys get worn out then take time off to recharge their batteries and give it ago one more time. I'd say do it...and see how it goes from there. So much negative input on this thread. You never know.....Good Luck Byrd!

The economy sucks. The money is drying up. Byrd's babbling wife Tracy is probably pushing him to make a comeback to support her lifestyle.

Where's Flatlander? He can answer these questions since he said he knew Chrissy Byrd.

Quality defensive boxer. Other than that Chrissy didn't have much to offer.

Byrd should retire...He was once a decent HW..nothing great but he was good...He's just not gonna be a force at any weight anymore...Great technician but he don't have the reflexes he used to and his defense seems questionable at times in comparison to what it was!

I think at this point hes even to slow for Cruiser and he should just retire, can he get a few wins yes, but he's done as a top 25 guy in a weight class.

The way to make the most $$$$$$ while he still can.

That is what he's thinking of.

As I see it, if Byrd wants to fight, let him fight. He has no health issues, and is not old, so, more power to him.
