that's about right.. If only the ref would let them get up everytime they got tied up in the ground instead of being locked for like four min maybe it would be fun to watch.

Me too. To tell you the truth I really enjoyed the whole "concept" of taking fighters from all different disciplines and matching them together to see which style and fighter came out victorious. Boxing -vs- Wrestling, Kung Fu -vs- Muy Thai, Jiu Jitsu -vs- Judo, etc. That's what the original UFC was all about, and I found it seriously entertaining.

Now-a-days the UFC still kicks ass and I watch it whenever I can, but now EVERYONE has the same style, everyone is pretty much trained well rounded in all the same disciplines, striking, grappling, etc, there's really no difference between the fighters except the fighters themselves. Most fights are pretty much like every other fight. It's much more like Boxing now, everyone has the same skill set, some are just better than others.

I'm 20 and I never said I saw the fight live. And I've never seen a single episode of TUF so stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

    :smoke

Oh......and being a TUF noob isn't exactly an insult anymore considering the show has produced many damn good fighters.

Iv got absolutely no interest in Dana. The man is a shrewd businessman and that is it. If he was interested in MMA as a whole he wouldnt keep using boxing as leverage and shitting on every other fighter that isnt in his organisation. I mean this is a guy that said Fedor is overrated. Only a fool would talk as much smack as he does without a shred of class or consequence for what comes out of his mouth. He continually disrepects his fighters when he knows nothing about fighting. These are the men that get paid shockingly low wages whilst the UFC turns over over a billion. Bearing in mind Dana was a failed boxing promoter the guy really needs to show some dam respect to the sweet science instead of shitting on the sport every time he gets a chance. If it wasnt for his rich benefactor mates the UFC would have been banned succesfully by McCain and gone under and MMA in the West would probably still be in its development stages.

I think Oscar is doing great things for the sport of boxing and MMA. The fact that his willing to cross promote, put his economic clout behind MMA as well as promote with other organisations is great for MMA as a whole. WAMMA is doing there best to promote a great concept and the UFC want no part of it. Thats not an organisation thats interested in this sport. Its an organisation dragged down by a draconian idiot who is only interested in protecting his own brand.Essentially its no diffrent to the WBC WBA etc who protect there own investment and patch. As long as Dana is at the helm i will never have any interest in the UFC. Couple that with the fact the old PRIDE cards simply pissed over almost any UFC card for depth quality and presentation, and as far as im concerned its not even close.

At first I didn't like it. But after several events I can appreciate it, and get into it. I still feel Boxing is a lot better, and there's good drama in boxing.

I do however, wish boxing was ran like the UFC.

i love watching MMA, but im pretty much the opposite of that. i thoroughly enjoy the sport, but i think that the current batch of fans is a bunch of ****ing idiots. i dont even say i like MMA in public anymore because i expect some douchebag in a tapout or affliction shirt to have a bitchfit over my opinions, the kind of person who hates when a fight goes to the ground because they can't appreciate the little subtleties that go into that part of it.
