Difficult to determine the best, but if I were to say anyone it would be Whitaker. I always enjoyed the display of his jab more than any other boxer's. Monzon deserves a mention.
??????? The first was a complete domination, a clinic. The draw was the worst decision in a major bout of the last ten years.
Quartey had a beautiful jab, but he fell in love with it at times when he needed to pick up his activity and throw other punches. Winky Wright also has a great jab when he gets it going. Has some sting and doesn't leave himself open at all.
a good jab its all about timing and speed , so ill say Ali's jab got something special he could jab when backin up , double ,triple it , always good timing on it and a good pop! but all your choice are legitimate .
A right handed southpaw like Winky Wright dominated elite fighters with basically one punch, thats great.
Liston did extraordinary things with his jab for the way he was built, his thick set solid body looked like would be kinda slow or sluggish at times, but when he doubled up on the jab or hooked off the jab it was absolutely beyond belief.. I was staggered to see a man of Sonnys stature slamming jabs in like jackhammers when i first saw him in action as a young man.. He could literally knock a man out or down with that shot if he turned it on in that manner.. Opinion ....... James Douglas had one of the best heavyweight jabs i ever saw, as far as timing and speed goes.. he too could get you outa there with that punch if he was inclined to... (Mike Williams fight.)
