I love Chris but he's a man and he should (like the rest of us) know how to look after his money. Remember it was him calling boxing a mugs game, saying he was in it for the money. Personal responsibility. Don't cry for a man who buys mack trucks and eventually wonders why he doesn't have a pot to **** in.
Fundraisers for fighters who've careers who been damaged in the Ring deserve charity not Boxers who've just friittered it all away,it's there own fault.
Good point number 48. Kerr back next week. I'm looking at Skelton, Fury, Arthur and a cruiser special. I will post on Tuesday with details. By the way...Eubank was fantastic. Adios.
Yesterdays is on the sky+ box , waiting for the inlaws to go out this weekend so I can watch it in peace!
It was a pretty odd show, but I really enjoyed it. One thing, Buncey: sort out the camerawork. It was dismal. We were either given huge panning shots of 7 people sitting round a table, ridiculously close close-ups of the side of Eubank's head, or shots of people who weren't actually talking. Other than that, good job.
Weird show. Still class like. Eubank's as a mad as a hatter, but if anything looks harder than he did back in the day, Neck like a ****ing bulldog!! That Rhodri feller's good, sparks off the Bunce pretty well, chuckled when he said to CE "So if your kids are happy you're happy" "Well no" replies CE and launches into another soliloquy with Rodders trying to back track, anything to stop the show over running by 3 hours! Good stuff about Reg Gutteridge too. But......GET RID OF THAT ****ING BELL!!!!
That footage was on Louis Theroux. They were absolute arseholes to him, Ross and co, unfortunately for Chris the way he presents himself makes it easy to make him look like a pratt. It was great seeing him on Bunce's show because they afforded him full respect and you got to see that he's a good man with the balls to say what he thinks and one who thinks about what he says. Anyone who hasn't read his autobiography simply must, it's brilliant and you get a real insight into the guy. An eccentric definately and strangely a guy who made himself the pantomime villain while at the same time desperately craving acceptance and simply to be liked.
Chris created the Monster i.e jodhpurs, a monocle, and riding about town in a Big **** off Monster Truck, add to that the fabulously eccentric musings of a madman acting like he was a member of the gentry.Which all in all made it easy to take the **** out of him Oh and lets not forget the absoloutely ridiculous posturing within the ring which at the time made me hate him and I barely followed boxing.(I stiil knew he was as hard as nails though) Only later did I appreciate his eccentricity and contribution to the sport but for non boxing fans.....
