Pac-Man isn't really P4P #1, but he will destroy Hatton!

I don`t think you get what the word pound for pound means. Its a mythical term you declare a fighter meaning: If pac`s pounds of meat were put on a heavyweight or ANY weight division, he would still be no. 1. It basically means the QUALITY OF MEAT or POUNDS you put on ANY fighter at ANY weight division. Pac, champ at 4 weight divisions, PBF at 5, JMM at 3, Hatton at 1, etc... I don`t know if you know what ur talkin about. If Pac beats Hatton he would be the ONLY FIGHTER in history to achieve 4 linear titles, 5 alpha titles in different weight classes. How would you compare JMM and Hatton to that?

Well if you put Floyd in the list I bump Pac to #5

    Floyd #1
    Calzaghe #2
    Hopkins #3
    Mosley #4
    Pac #5

P4P, Pac would lose to these fighters

p4p is not only about being the best fighter ability or skill-wise iregardless of weight. but it is also about resume and achievements. you may be the best fighter when it comes to ability and skill but if you don't have the necessary resume and achievements to back it up, then you don't deserve to be called p4p #1 or being the best fighter in boxing.

now, floyd has been inactive for more than a year now. he lost p4p #1 due to inactivity while pac won 2 more alpha belts as well as another lineal title while fighting at 3 different weights at that same period. that gives pac all the reason to be p4p #1 in floyd's absence. pac is a 5-weight as well as a 3-time lineal champ, having fought his way from 112 to 147. that's 9 weight divisions. if that isn't p4p, then i don't know what is.

Oh my god.. Joe Calzaghe at number 9.. I stopped reading there. No idea of the sport at all.

This is evidence of what exactly? That people can get paid to report on a sport they have no idea of? Cotto above Calzaghe.. I mean its ****ing laughable.

So barely beating an old Marquez who did not look all that great against a shot Casamayor and beating a shot Diaz and shot ODLH makes a fighter P4P #1?

Due to them being in different weight classes that defines what p4p is. regardless of competition. Answer me this, who did better?

If you consider competition as well Pac is still #4. Beating on two human punching bags means nothing. He will have to beat Hatton then Mosley or Floyd to be P4P #1!:smoke

even before last year, pac was already p4p #2 behind floyd. marquez is a great fighter. that's why he's either p4p #2-3 now. he is also a stylistic nightmare for pac but pac still managed to get a draw and a close win against him. and d. diaz is certainly not shot. he may be a B-level fighter but he was certainly prime when he fought pac.

i also don't consider dlh shot too. he is certainly past prime and could've been weight-drained. but ppl here were saying before the fight that pac was in trouble since dlh made weight so easily and there was even no mention of him being shot. ppl here weren't even giving pac a chance to win vs. dlh and pac was a 2-3 to 1 underdog in that fight.
