I don't understand why Zab Judah gets so many big fights. Its in the discussion for him to fight Quintana and then Berto for the title. He just lost to Clottey not to long ago and was in a boring fight on the Jones/Calzaghe undercard. He must have a hell of a promoter.

its just because he has somewhat of a houehold name. plus seeing him get destroyed is somewhat entertaining. its a shame others don't get the opportunity he has tho.

Bottom line is he makes MONEY! that why the promoters use him. If his name stopped generating cash.... they would shelf his ass and we would never see him again

    De Monies.

He's also a big, big name to have on your record, and a beatable fighter if you can get past the first 4 or 5 rounds.

The thing which I've gathered for the most part is that Judah doesn't ***** over money, take what's given to him price wise and rarely (if ever) turns a fight down.

He gets the fights because promoters skip a lot of the hassle that goes with promoting fights with Judah (agreeing to price, arguing over takes).

He's also a decent name to have on a resume and even at his somewhat faded status, he's STILL a pretty good (and relatively safe) test for a younger fighter.

The same with guys like Mayorga and a guy like Hasim Rahman.
