Apparently Pacman did get KO'd in an early fight of an unknown, details arent to hand, but not by a jab, and neither was Khan KO'd by a jab mind.

Personally think another durable yet live opponent would have been good for Khan after ***an, but Warren usually knows best (for his fighter, not fight fans), and he must have had MAB analysed and found to be beatable to let Khan go near him, and so MAB may well be that live, durable opponent, who will be there to provide a test.

Pacquiao was a stick thin weight drained little kid that was fighting seasoned pros at short notice. That was how it was in Asia. Not the softly softly padded approach and then starched by an unknown.

to put khan in the ring with barrera after ***an is insane. frank warren has nothing to lose because its better khan gets knocked out by a legend for his reputation than a nobody. even warren said it was a gamble. khan is not a world class fighter and if barrera cant expose his egg shell chin then he should retire imediately.
barrera has an iron chin and so i feel will walk through whatever khan throws at him just like breidis did and knock him out again. leaving amir with no confidence at all and finished at the age of 22.
as others have pointed out, good thing amirs made his money already. a millionare at 19years old. no drive, no hunger, celebrity lifestyle, no good sparring and now he's changed all that its too little too late.

Nedal Hussein had Pac on his arse, and hurt by what looks like a completely innoccuous left jab...its actually quite alarming to see the ease by which the man went over. Pac was 22 and not weight drained.

    Link to the knockdown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSI-TnZD2LY

Yeah, he was not weight drained. I expect he was in completely tip top condition to get knocked down by a jab.

Now explain why he can take power punches from elite fighters like Marquez and other greats De La Hoya, Barrera, Morales with no adverse effects. Take your pick.

It does look like someone had shouted "incoming".

To be fair to Pac, the camera angle may be deceiving and what looks like a straight left jab may actually have been a decent left cross, its difficult to tell....he did look on ***** street for a while, legs gone, the lot.

I don't have to explain anything, I just showed you the film. I based my view that he wasn't weight drained on the fact that he had only just moved up to Super Bantam, and didn't move on from that weight for another 3 years. :nut

Pacquiao always starved himself down ridiculous amounts as a youngster. He could and probably should have been at feather alraedy. The proof is in the pudding, since he's matured and fought at comfortable weights he has not been bothered by much harder punches against much much superior fighters. It is impossible to explain other than lack of physical maturity and/or weight draining, because if that was indicitive of his true punch resistance he would not have had such success.

And infact, none of this means ****. It smacks of digging deep for hope. Recent performances are more relevent, Pac has that covered.:yep

Maybe it's improved due to the thai techniques that Pacman has adopted into his training regime

Against a dead beat David Diaz, and a severely weight drained and zombielike Oscar? ...whatever :-(

So your theory, which you cant prove, is correct? He went down awful easy tho, fair play to Pacman though, look at him now. Perhaps evidence that better weight distribution on the body can help to a certain extent. If your using the weight drain issue, this can certainly be used as an excuse for Khan, pretty much unanmonously agreed upon that he could be a fairly comfortable Light Welter fighting at Lightweight.

Whatever he's done has worked. He hasn't been truely hurt for a long long time now.

It only seems to be since he's fighting Hatton people dig out videos from over half a decade ago. It's quite desperate. Maybe I should get the videos of his close fight against Marquez or his schooling of Hoya. At least its relevant.

Thats exactly my point, he has overcome a weakness which he may have had..it is possible.
