Is Kell Brook the next big thing?l

Kell would own Watson.

 

He looks very good.He needs moving up a level though.His team have got to get better opposistion in than Elwell.Elwell kew he had no chance before the fight even started.He looked a year or so ago but he now looks comletley shot and should not have been put in with Brook.

 

Not convinced. Obviously he has looked good recently, but I don't like his footwork and the way he pulls his head back as a form of defence. He leans away without moving his feet and will get tagged a lot.

He was dropped because of this sloppy defensive work against a nobody and his CV is full of guys who could not crack an egg, so that raises questions over his punch resistance.

Nice fast hands, puts his combinations together pretty well but I'm not sold on his power either.

Time will tell, he clearly has talent, but doesn't look world level to me.

 

Spot on. When he throws a right hand he does it with his chin skyward, any decent counter-puncher could and would take advantage....it is easy enough to rectify, but he needs to do it before someone with a bit of pop tags him.

 

I'm with TFFP atsch on Hatton being ideal as his next opponent.

Power wise he isn't all that, nor is he particularly fast, but he is certainly very game, has good stamina and will keep coming forward - throw in his chin and he is your ideal domestic/commonwealth gatekeeper.

Better than having a trilogy with Billy Smith, to go with the one with Ernie.

 

It's difficult not to be impresses with Brook - he's done everything asked of him and has beaten what has been put in front of him.
You can't ask for more than that.
I'm a Kev Anderson fan and think that a fully focused and motivated Kev could just have Brook's number.
Either way, it would be a fantastic bout.

kell brooks is too square on, pretty flat footed, leaves his chin at shoulder level and when he comes forewards he is very messy and almost fights blind.

he holds himself well and is quick and solid but i think we are getting a bit carried away with his undefeated record and naz's compliments.

but he has to quote kell himself "i got the speed, the power, the accra-Z"

 

yeah kells not been really tested as yet ....dont think he should be mixing with the likes of cotto ,berto he would get sparked out ...maybe after jennings gets hammerd he could get it on with him .
