Kessler wants to leave Palle. Kessler wants to fight in US. Kessler wants the big fights. They seem to have a good understanding an mutual respect.
Calzaghe would love to roll as a promoter to and make some statements on the big scene of boxing.

    They would be lethal :deal

I seriously doubt that Calzaghe has enough money to sign Kessler. He will likely have to hope a talented kid comes along and they progress together. Most boxing promoters fail. Calzaghe should take care that he is not one of the casualties.

Why do you think that Calzaghe will suceed as a promoter?

He tried to "co-promote" the Jones fight and he failed.

So he can teach Kessler to stay at home and fight tomato cans for 10 years?
Palle is trying to do that, that's why we have the big hubla now.:yep

I like the idea - Calzaghe should just find a good lawyer who does the actual work. His name alone should keep people looking.

Calzaghe could get a few decent names because of guys wanting to come and train with him and his dad. Mostly I think he will sign local guys and promote mostly domestic shows which will do pretty well and if he is lucky he will have a couple of decent fighters on the international scene.

Agreed about the RJJ and Calzaghe fight being poorly promoted and why they agreed to let RJJ lil rap group 3D perform between all the early fights i will never know. Everyone just booed them!

I think Calzgahe's first show is on soon and he's starting right at the bottom. Kessler needs to get a move on with his career now, he needs an established promoter.

    Hej Jan.

    Hilsen wolfie
