I have given Setanta a lot of stick in the past, but they deserve an award for allowing their subscribers to watch Darchinyan vs Arce. Neither of them are what you would call marquee names in world Boxing, but this match up is garunteed drama. Win or lose for either men, it will be thoroughly entertaining from start to finish and I'm happy I don't have to watch it via a shitty stream.
I personally don't find Darchinyan is that entertaining as a fighter with his crab style. But for sure its a good fight.
Jorge Arce is what makes this fight exciting. That guy is a warrior, and will keep coming forward. But he might not taken Vic's power to well, but if he does, I think he'll win down the stretch.
Setanta are experts at getting good fights. The only thing they are lacking is domestic promotions, British/Euro title fights - but hopefully with the emergence of Hayemaker and Calzaghe promoting we may see that change. Sky give us very little. We see the occasional Berto fight, the rest are tagged to a Khan PPV. Just out of interest....... when a British fighter is PPV (or even free to air) in US - Hatton for example.... we get a British undercard from 9pm with a (or a couple) of British title fights followed by the house undercard and main event. On the same PPV in America, do you get to see our fights? I only ask because British fight fans tend to know more about the US prospects than you know about ours.... especially as very few of ours get undercard experience these days..... perhaps I have answered my own question!
yeah great news............. but not for me! Didn't pay last months bill so they cut me off today, phoned them and they won't re-connect me untill i pay, which i can't do untill monday! Gutted as there's live UFC tonight aswell.
The only thing I would critize setanta for was not getting the vasquez v marquez trilogy, or at least the second two after what the first fight produced. Apart from that, they do well, and we do in turn.
