Good list, no arguments from me. Disagree here though bud. I'm neither nuthugger or Hater, just call it like I see it. For thr record I'd put Calzaghe 85-100. Never done a 100 list, can't be assed but he'd be thereabouts.
calzaghe is like galaxy...they are the best in their division. so long as no other fighter would claim that distinction they would be timeless..but once other fighters in that division achieved more then calzaghe and galaxy's value would go down... galaxy and Jcal may not have the best resume, but i think they are timeless because they are used a standard in their division to add, Calzaghe, is the longest reigning champion ever... up to know nobody came close in matching jofre's bantamweight legacy..it's almost 50 years and that cement his place as top 40 ATG despite inferior quality of opponents
The **** outer here. Sweat Pea was 32 when he fought de la Hoya, Jones was 35 when Tarver beat him. How many fighters in history have beaten two prime ATG's? How many middle weights have gone on to dominate the light heavyweight division and then win a Heavyweight strap?
Agree, RJJ was well shot and seriously on the slide when Tarver beat him. Whitaker was still a formidable opponent for anyone, including De La Hoya - who was an excellent fighter himself at the time.
Calzaghe is a top #11-25 ATG: AbbeyFN, Calzaghe, dannylatics, Ed., Grant1, hopkins54, Maca2000, RedDragonBoxing, rimbaud, RUSKULL
*****! You feel all right? You don't sound ok! You have any kind of problems? Well don't bring them the forum, solve them and then continue writing...... Honestly, you don't sound ok! Take a time off, then come back *****!
Depends on how long is the count for ATG. Joe is barely on the 100th count at present. After 5 years, he may have been surpassed, so he will be past the hundreth mark. If ATG is only up to the 100 mark only, then definitely he won't be...
haha very good comeback:good in germany he will be ranked ahead of Robinson, Ali and Fraizer with robin reid coming in the top 5 to make his best win look valid
To me Joe Calzaghe is a great fighter, but he is not an exceptional fighter. He will probably go down as a very very good fighter like Mike McCallum, but he will not be recognized with Pea,Leonard etc.
Why is this person from Sweden, of all places, talking like he is from a ghetto in Philly? Is he some kind of comedian? :huh
