My point mate was to emphasise that Mundine is no stranger to fighting guys who've been retired for a while. Remember when he called out Ottke after Ottke had been retired for a year or so?
Funny thing is that he never seemed to call out Manny Siaca did he?
Manny fought a ****-house fight and still butt-f*cked theman that night.
When Mundine is standing in front of Danny Green at 175 Green will resemble Siaca and that will send shockwaves through the everleigh street king!

 

Your just a little off there mate. Mundine did call out Siaca. They were set to fight in Newcastle but Siaca pulled out.

How ironic is this article? I forgot about how bad he wanted to avoid the showdown with Kessler before they'd met the 1st time! How shameful that in later years he even gave up the "championship belt" to avoid a rematch.:bart

 

Shiner I am not talking about boxing people i am talking the general public, but now that mundine has made Green a name in aus he is lapping it up, dancing with the stars etc.

And to the other inbred I did not say Mundine would knock out Green I said Mundine would smash him for 10 rounds like he did in the first fight, you cant deny that Mundine didnt do that!

He wins a lightheavy title fighting a bloke Hurricane Briggs already stopped and then wakes up just before a dangerous title defence and quits..

He now is back to fight Mundine..

Everything has been said about Mundine so there is no need for me to go on about the mouth but what about DANNY BOY??

He has turned out in my opinion to be a total wanker himself..

Im going to stick with supporting true fighters like Katsidis and Darchinyan, rather then waste my hardearned buying ppvs and tickets to fill the wallets of mugs like Green and Mundine.

Totally agree with you here. Green comes across as the Aussie battler type, and he loves playing that up, but is he that different from Mundine in a fighting sense. He has been living off Mundine's name his whole career and when he finally achieves something off his own back with his WBA 175 title he badly disrespects his 1st defence opponent and pulls out of their world title fight a few weeks before after both fighters had gone through nearly a full training camp with some bizarre story that he wants to spend time with his kids when we all knew he would be back to fight Mundine again. Green has earned a truckload of cash from his boxing career. A hell of a lot more than someone like Paul Briggs who is probably a better fighter than Green and guess what, Green owes it all to Mundine.

 

Everyone brings up Briggs when talking about Green, and dont get me wrong - Briggs is one of my favourite boxers, but at the end of the day Green was smart enough to manage himself and cut out the middle man, much like Mundine, which is why they are the only ones making any money.. You can't blame either of them for that, it's just smart thinking..

 

Yeah Danny pissed me off when he called off the fight with Garay.

So i guessing all the rumours about Mundine apparently fighting Felix Sturm in July for the MW WBA belt and Mundines talk about dropping to middle weight is nothing but bull**** then...

I doubt Mundine will fight for any MW belt it took him 2 fight to get to down to MW from SMW so its prob gonna take another 4 or 5 to get himself up to LHW coz its unlikely Danny will come down for him.
