I don't know too much about Rubio. What's his style of fighting and what are his chances of beating Pavlik?

Big puncher. His knockout of Jantuah was sick.

However he got made to look ordinary by Kasim Ouma and I think Pavlik is just a bigger and better in every department.

It will be a good fight that Pavlik should win however Rubio has enough to take advantage if Pavlik is feeling flat after Hopkins.

Rubio is a very skilled fighter. His losses were due to an attempt to fight at 154. He is now fighting at a more comfortable weight for him. The only questions about Rubio are his heart and mental toughness. I think if Pavlik presses him from start to finish, Pavlik should win by KO. If pavlik decides to fight at a measured pace and has "safety first" mentality, he will lose a decision and possibly get KO'd.

I have watched his last fight several times. If Pavlik comes in healthy and prepared, Rubio is a step below in every catagory. Pavlik's fight is hinting at a 'technical' fight so he may be working on some stuff. We will just have to wait and see.

Many factors indicate that Pavlik plans to box a bit more than usual. If he does that, the fight lasts 8 rounds at the most.

If I'm wrong, and KP just comes out and goes into his usual seek and destroy mode, Rubio will not last 5 rounds.

It was a very close fight, and Rubio did show some toughness. I was refering to the ability to come back from major adversity, like being knocked down or seriously hurt. We have never seen Rubio overcome that kind of adversity. i am a fan of Rubio though. I have been watching him for years on Telmundo and Galavision.

If you think this is brutal, just wait til you see what Pavlik does to him.
