Angulo is cut over the eye and it's not looking good.

A close round but I think I'd give it to Rivera.

 

The ref says the cut on the brow is from a punch but it's from a headbutt. Rivera looks calm and despite the cut, so does Angulo. Angulo trying to jab his way in but Rivera is shored up pretty well defensively.

Pretty good fight so far.

 

Angulo turning it on with some big power shots on Rivera. Rivera weathering the storm so far but he's eating a lot of leather. Angulo is extremely show but his punches are both well placed and well timed. Rivera took a lot of leather in the last 30 seconds and seemed satisfied to just survive that round out.

10-9 for Angulo there and the momentum is firmly in his corner right now cut and all.

 

Good round. I think Angulo had Rivera hurt.

I think Lennox Lewis is a little...out of it tonight. "Angulo's cut MAKE be a problem tonight"

Rivera is throwing power punches but they're all wide and loopy so far. Nothing is direct enough to do damage on Angulo. . Angulo swinging wildly now as Rivera is not firing back enough. BIG left uppercut rocks Rivera. Rivera is hurt and he's going.

Rivera holds on for dear life. Angulo places his punches almost perfectly in space. He just has great precision for a young kid. NAILS Rivera when he comes in to clinch...we head to the 4th round or as I call it, stoppage time boys.

And the barking continues from Angulo's corner people.
