P4P: Jones, Tito, Hopkins, Calzaghe...in that order.

Tito over Hopkins? I'll have to disagree.

Tito over Calzaghe. Not much substance to Calzaghe's biggest wins.

Calzaghe is a much more skilled fighter by far than Tito. I picked Hopkins to stop Tito and was correct. Why were so many so surprised at that?

Hopkins' win over Tito does not mean Hopkins is higher P4P...

Tito ... better division(s) ... better competition ... more primed fighters ... more champions ...

Tito 20-1 in championship fights w/ wins over - DLH (who was undefeated), Vargas, Whitaker, Camacho, Campos, Reid, and Joppy ... all of whom were champions and a majority of them were undefeated when they faced Tito.

Calzaghe 21-0 in championship fights w/ wins over - guys I never heard of and don't have a big as legacy as Tito's former opponents.
Campos has 100 pro fights under his belt. Calzaghe fought Evans Ashira a guy who fights at junior middleweight --
His two wins over Hopkins and Jones were against shells of their former selves ... those guys were well past their best, no to say that he couldn't have beaten them, but it takes away from his wins because they didn't perform like they did when they were at their best.

Tito is a former light welterweight and was fighting at middleweight and light heavyweight against naturally bigger guys.

You know, I'm not a Calzaghe fan, but I'm not a hater either. I like to think that I can look at his career objectively. So, I have to give him credit for great consistency, great ability and great stamina. But for me, I rate Trinidad quite a bit higher. Although, perhaps when I examine it, it becomes closer than I would like to think...

    1. Tito won more recognized world titles in more weight classes, and he has a better resume, but doesn't have an '0'. Tito was more dominant at WW (a better, deeper division), than Calzaghe was at Super-Middle .... until near the very end of Joe's career.

    2. Tito never ducked anyone and fought the best in two, maybe three divisions, Calzaghe didn't have any career defining fights until a couple of years before he retired.

    3. H2H, Tito has much more power and a bigger heart, Calzaghe has a better chin and speed....

All things considered...it is close, but for me, the answer is Tito.
