Funeka is tailor made for Valero (dodgy chin, leaves himself open to wide counters, guard doesn't block hooks well), and Valero smashes him quickly. I'd give Funeka a better chance at beating Juan Diaz than beating Edwin Valero.
Funeka! By KO....only b/c of his natrual physical attributes and sound technical skills! Stylistically Valero would be in for trouble with Ali. Of course Valero could KO Ali but he'd have to get inside which Nate found very hard. And Valero while sound with his skill sets isn't on Nates Level of skill at this point. I'd be comfortable say Ali beats Ed by keeping the distance, pumping the jab and out working him throughout the fight until he puts Ed out.
:good...Funeka impressed me...he did before but the guy has grit! He would be able to keep Ed at bay with his reach and the way he's able to stay off the ropes. He'd simply offset Ed's offense with his constant offense and circle Ed to ensure he never got set with his own offense. You can't be WILD with Ali unless you have VERY good Defense which Ed doesn't. Nate got wild at times and ate plenty of punches although most were caught.
Ali doesn't really leave himself open bro.....Think of how many punches Nate landed. Not too many...when he did they were the over hand right which he was plotting on throughout....he landed it TWICE.....and threw it many more times without sucess. And Nate is working with a higher quality of skill sets. Ed will have to work on his craft a bit more in order to have a soild war plan to combat what Ali is working with...the size, reach and skills all favor Funeka....Power will always go to Ed for the most part. Ali beats Ed and Juan....styles make fights and right now Ali has a pretty hard style for anyone...just ask Nate.
Valero is a very dangerous opponent even to the elites with his power but Funeka can box him to a UD or late stoppage.
