source of the interview? I just want to read what else he had to say. He may never be an elite level fighter but he will beat his fair share at 140
The realisation that you are not going to fufill ambitions in your chosen career is a hard thing to take.I feel slightly sorry for the guy...
predictable. thing is, money mayweather endorsed him. the attitude of these 2 guys absolutely stinks.
Every single fighter out there does it for the money. A select few actually have the balls to come out and say it how it is.
Does he know he just kissed some money goodbye making a statement like that. What an idiot. Hatton must have killed the few remaining brain cells.
The two men in your avatar fought for money AND pride when they were at their best imo. Not all fighter's care about the pay cheque only. If that was the case then we would'nt have seen so many great figiht's. Paulie was boring enough when his heart was in it so telling people that he's now only fighting for the money, although honest, is not a good move.
Paulie isn't anything special...Id like to see a fight against Juan Urango though!! If he's only fighting for the money than Urango prolly whoop his a$$
Every fighter fights for money, no doubt. But there are those who love to fight. I remember seeing Sweet Pea with grins on his face from time to time knowing he was schooling his opponent and loving it. And I'm sure Roy Jones in his heyday loved to fight.
At least he's honest. Like when fighters say "it's not about the money, it's about pride" after a fight took a month to sign because they were arguing over the money split.
