after watching the fight ,my comiserations go out to jennings, who i thought put on a very brave performance agaist arguabily the best welter in the world,he showed real heart in getting up after those knockdowns and if the ref didnt stop it he would have carried on showing real heart,so back to the drawing bord for old mickey

I lost money on it but im not that bothered and it was a hopeful bet anyway.Micheal did himself proud. He was hurt and showed a lot of heart,a lot of fighters would have stayed on thier stools at the start of the last round.Mikey came out and had one last go at Cotto instead. He was just beaten by a far better fighter.I hope he enjoyed the expierence of fighting at the garden as much as he could.

All anybody can ask for is that a boxer give a 100% and try.Jennings tried as hard as he could. He shouldn't be ashamed as he lost to the best welterweight in the world.

Yeah respect to the guy, after the 4th he knew he was just going to be hurt, but he had a go anyway. Brave man.

Like I said he would make us proud if he had a go and that is what he did, unlike another British fighter...

...Anyway well done to Jennings it was a once in a lifetime experience and I am sure he got some decent money and some more meaningful fights in the future domestically should appear, instead of the WBU nonsense.

If he had bottled it he would have been out a lot quicker than he was, he seemed to have decent composure moving around the ring using the jab in the first three rounds.

It was perfect tactics but unfortunately Cotto was just too much for him. No shame in losing to the better man. The fight went exactly how I thought it would, only Cottos pressure got to Jennings a little earlier then I thought it would.

I felt Cotto got to him quite early because Jennings felt he was getting some success with the right hand in the 4th round and started to go in with the punches more, which resulted in him getting tagged by Cotto who caught him coming in.

If he was going to bottle it he would have stayed on his stool at the end of the 4th like his trainer wanted him to.

I wouldnt go as far as to say he bottled it but to me the mere fact that he didnt quit doesnt show true guts and heart.......REAL guts is when a fighter is actually trying to win, which jennings wasnt he was just trying to survive......had he actually got stuck in and had a go and lost without quitting you could say he showed heart and guts but just trying to keep out the way without really giving it a go i dont think shows much guts whatsoever.

So what would you have him do? He was up against a bigger man who was stronger, was a bigger puncher and, most importantly, technically better.

He had one chance to win and that was to keep the fight at distance but Cotto didn't allow him to to take. Game over.
