The end of the 4th was symbolic of his whole struggle, that he finally is back. It's only a classless move if you're a Jennings fan, or whatever.
Cotto is extremely humble, Gomez was talking a whole lot of **** before the fight & Gomez was staring at Cotto as well. . Cotto didn't ask his uncle to pick him up btw.
Yes he is a nice guy but in the ring it's war damnit! You do mental warfare and anything needed. He did ****ing good then,he let that ordinary punching bag know who his daddy is.He didn't even try hard in that fight and still destroyed him. After the fight he is mr. nice guy.
Gomez was talking a lot of **** before the fight. That look from Cotto was a simple way of saying "You're ****ing done homey" It's not like he wasn't being a good sport. He was just trying to remind Gomez that he was in for a very brutal night.
For all practical purposes the fight was OVAAAH at the end of the 4th. Cotto knew that as well as everyone watching knew it. Cut the guy some slack.
If Norman Stone was Cotto's trainer, he would've told Cotto to knock him out so he could **** on him. God I miss Norman Stone.
He quit training because he felt (get ready for this) that the boxing world was out to get Ruiz and that he (of all people) was being punished and passed over for lesser champions.
I noticed it as well.I dont know if he fought Jennings had been stopped.I thought the fight was over when Cotto started celebrating and he looked as though he thought the fight was over.If he was just doing it without thinking this he is a bit of a twat.
Happiness and disrespectful are two different things. Cotto thought Jennings was done. Si did everybody else. Cotto was disrespectful to Gomez.... I give you that. He thought he was invincible and paid the price. I love the new attitude he showed in this fight. He was calmed after hurting Jennings and very respectful after the fight was over.
