    look out pavlik?

the only danger pavlik will face against duddy is the risk of swollen/broken hands after repeatedly smashing his fists against duddy's skull.

this fight would be an utter waste of time.

Can you offer any good reasons for believing this fight would be as one-sided as you predict?
Yes Duddy would be a huge underdog but
"the only danger pavlik will face against duddy is the risk of swollen/broken hands after repeatedly smashing his fists against duddy's skull." seems a little harsh.

Duddy fights in April, and then again in June against Pavlik? Seems like a big risk to take if the fight with Pavlik was as much of a go for June as some make it out to be.

Duddy has been rather easy to hit in past fights, and has gotten lumped up by unimpressive opponents. I didn't see the fight with Vanda, but from all accounts I've heard Duddy totally outboxed Matt. But does beating a club fighter like Vanda propell Duddy into world championship contention? I think it may be fair at this point to doubt Duddys chances with Pavlik.

I would rate Vanda higher than a 'club fighter' he may never be a world champion but he rattled the highly rated Chavez Jnr. I would doubt Duddy's chances of upsetting Pavlik but i think he would make him work quite hard for the victory. If Duddy can drop down in weight safely i believe he would be in contention!

Well, the way HBO is getting, it HAS come to this. They refused to pick up a mandatory defense for Pavlik and title shot for Cotto even on the same card. Fighters are going to be forced into 'pay day' fights to keep their titles in between because they will have to vacate or fight for less. Think about it.

I like Duddy. He's a fun fighter to watch.

But as of now, I don't see what he has that would enable him to beat Pavlik.

Thats twice now chief, you can only get so much mileage out of one joke. It would seem Arum will make this fight sooner or later, and I hope its later. Duddy did well against Vanda and hopefully Burns will continue to help him improve then maybe look at Pavlik in 3 fights or so.

The joke is a good one, but I did not start it. I stole it:hey

Duddy looked the best I've seen him against Vanda. I think if he can make 154 safely, he should fight there.
