Man, not one person made a post about Glen Johnson winning tonight on ESPN FNF. The guy gets no respect even on this board. WTF?

I hope for his sake, he gets a big fight. He's 40 and he deserves one last pay day. But who is really out there for him except Dawson? No way Roy Jones fights him.

Excellent old pro, I love watching Glen fight. Deserves another title shot. Dawson out at the moment. So Diaconu-Branco winner for WBC title.

Branco could outslick Diaconu, you never know. Diaconu short, squat and has lost his oomph. Branco tall, athletic spoiler. Branco holds a win over Glen for the WBU title in Italy. It wasn't a robbery - Glen looked like he was out of shape/late notice, gassed midway & lost close sloppy fight...Another revenge win on the cards?

Or how about Adamek up at 200-pound,s could Glen carry the weight?

Ithought he retired Daamn that man knows a lot about being persistent :)
The remaining legacy of American Olympic team of 1984.
I won't be surprised if either Evander or Johnson will stay active untill 50.

I hope Johnson wins that WBC belt as he could land a rematch with Dawson; unification would be enough to make it happen IMO.

Glenn Johnson is top 3 LHW. An argument can be made about him being able to defeat Dawson or Hopkins. But who else could you even think about ranking higher than him than Dawson & Hopkins?

The most robbed, best chinned, and maybe least tiring boxer over the last 15 years. I hope he can pick up 1 or 2 more big wins, and grab a championship belt so a case can be made for him to head to the hall of fame.

This was a tune-up fight for the winner between Diaconu and Branco. Johnson is mandatory challenger to the WBC title. Given that Dawson will not be able to give Johnson a shot before Diaconu/Branco, most likely, it looks like Johnson v. Diaconu/Branco for the WBC title sometimes in late summer or early autumn.:good

And for those who say: Glen must be crap not to have KOed him, who says he wanted to?? Maybe he just wanted to get 10 rounds under his belt. Against Diaconu/Branco winner, he'll need to be able to go 12 most likely.

Yeah, I can agree with you here. I forgout about Burton but Glen Johnson has come on the short end of decisions 6 or 7 times.
