I knew marquez was going to win before the fight, got a little nervous after the first few rounds, but damn was i impressed with his comeback, i knew it would come but, i dunno i just didnt expect that great of one.

Theres always a million threads for exciting fights who cares. Great fights deserve a million threads in my mind

 

The cut did it all. Diaz was cut, lost his concentration and was hit with the left hook which hurt him the previous round and he never recovered. Had he not been cut the momentum would have been in his favor.

 

Dont diss Diaz. He fought a hell of a fight. He did what he could do and fought the best fight he could. He knew he could not beat JMM in the center of the ring and the fact he got him up against the ropes as much as he did is a testament to his ability. WHO THE **** SAID BOXING WAS DEAD.

 

Marquez adjusted from rd 3 onwards by keeping his right glove up when Diaz was sending that left hook over. Add that to the fact that JMM kept investing well to the body, and he managed to open up a cut with those laser like upper cuts, he fought a typically marquez like fight.

Props to Diaz for makin it a fight. Altho I had a lil feelin that the cut would knock his morale a little like in the campbell fight.

Its nice to see that we're only into March and the calibre of fights in '09 have been nothing short of epic.
