Calzaghe did not kick is arse, he slapped his forearms and got a decision he did not deserve against a 43 year old man with stamina issues. The Hopkins of 2001 would have thoroughly outclassed any version of Calzaghe, and any serious boxing fan knows it - that's one of the reasons everyone is placing Hopkins above him. The other reason is resume. Hopkins has dominated Trinidad, Pavlik and Tarver, beaten Wright and De La Hoya. Calzaghe has beaten Kessler, an overhyped and undertalented Lacy, and very little else of any quality.
