Someone please name a prime fighter or great fighter that Hamed beat, and I'll STFU. And I am not talking about a way-past-his-prime Kevin Kelly. Someone that was recognized as a good/great fighter that Hamed beat. The only thing I remember about Hamed is when he got beat by ol' Marco Antonio Barrera.
JMM take this in a very competitive and close fight in the first half of the fight and JMM taking over in the 2nd half and Naz getting discouraged until he gets stopped in rounds 9-12.
Barrera didn't have the power to knock out lightweights who had never previously been stopped. Hamed was never stopped by 'anyone else'... but he never really fought anyone else, did he? The general standard of his career opposition is shite, the fact that he was never stopped proves nothing. Stick him in with prime versions of Morales, Marquez or Pacquiao and he gets stopped each time. No defence and no technical skills will see you sliced to bits at that level.
naz was probably the hardest puncher ever at faetherweight, manny doesn't have anything close to the level of power a prime naz had.
Power is not everything. Naz had a weak Chin and no heart. The guy made a name fighting a bunch of bums. He avoided the 3 best fighters for as long as he could then fought MAB and got schooled. Then, he fights another bum and quits the sport.
Maybe against bums or b-level fighters, but when was the last time he KO'ed a good/great fighter? Just wondering?:huh
Thats because Mcullough is a whining Irish twat who won a world title against an average fighter who no one remembers got beat by an old fart never won a meaningful fight again and was completely over shadowed by Naz. And because he is Irish he will probably pop up in years to come straight into a world title fight. Bollocks.
No way he had a weak chin, he was just off balance due to his weird style for a lot of his knockdowns.
Had Pacquiao fought the same succession of rubbish as Hamed did, he would now be known as a one-punch KO artist. Naz probably did have an edge on Pac for power, but the gap is not as wide as you make out. Once Pacquiao lashes Ricky Hatton to defeat, I will look forward to your posts.
Naz wasted his career, if he had stayed with Ingle, trained hard for his fights and didnt beelive in his own fight he would have been the greaatest IMO But he got cocky, slacked off his training and got schooled by MAB Naz will always be remembered as a WHAT IF
The Naz that fought MAB would be KO'd by JMM. The 22 year old Naz might have a shot a clipping him But Marquez is just way too smart and accurate with both hands imo. He would not allow the Prince to make it a shoot out. Ps: Naseem's power > Manny's even though Manny is better
