Why would Hatton become p4p #1 by beating Pac?

    i will probably put hatton @ #4 if ever he beats pac. hatton can then finally claim #1 p4p if he also manages to beat jmm.

    I think that if pac loses to hatton in a close decision then ur list there might be right. but if pac gets taken to the cleaners then you cant justify him above hatton.

    He's the favorite because of what he did to de la Hoya and as impressive as that was, it will be nothing like taking on a naturally bigger man who actually fights back.

    Im a big Hatton fan, and if he wins i would slot him in anywhere between 3-6, Marquez and Hopkins would still be ahead of him IMO

    Yeah right that makes sense,Hopkins has lost 3 of his last 6 fights and has only been projected as great again after beating a smaller guy in Pavlik who is nowhere near as highly rated as Pacman is.

    He won't become P4P #1, no matter how many times he tells us that is the way those rankings work.

    What will happen is that Pac will possibly move to #2, with JMM taking his place (of course, it is very likely that Pac will remain numero uno) and Ricky would move up within the top 5 or 6.

    Pound for pound implies specifically that the fighter might not beat a bigger fighter, but is still the most skilled fighter. What do you think pound for pound means?

    I agree, its amazing the BS that hatton and his people feed the sheep/fans and the annoying thing is there no need for it as the fight is a good fight and intriguing, but no, even if Hatton wins, he wont be the number 1 fighter in the world p4p.... that would still be paq or Marquez. Unfortunately the majority of fans who watch Hatton are not true diehard boxing fans and so the whole concept of the p4p title is lost on them.:deal:hat:bbb
    we can but try to educate I guess.
