They don't all have to be world-class fights but should at least be competitive. These days PPV undercards are just prospects against over-matched opponents.

I agree. The undercards for this particular PPV isn't going to be stacked anyways so why not just fill it up with british fighters.. All mediocre guys..

Maybe have Witter on the undercard so he can heckle Hatton pre fight, post fight, and during the fight for that matter. :yep

Craigs doing well, Ishy. Talk of sparring with Winky in the Williams build up.
Watched recording of Stovall fight today. Craig won too comfortably. Sat on the ropes too much which he couldn`t and wouldn`t do with Angulo. He knows it, though and he`d raise his game when stepping up in class.
There is a real dearth of young British fighters testing themselves in the States. I feel that more exposure against Americans and especially Mexicans would raise standards here. Even Calzaghe and Hatton didn`t meet enough opponents from across the Atlantic until too late in their careers. I feel Hatton especially would have benefitted from early carreer bouts against tough Mexicans and they would have been great fights.

Whatever happens, I just dont wanna see Mathew Hatton and a bunch of other Michael Jennings cuz that would truly suck.. At least Junior Witter or something..

But it's easy for someone in America who doesn't understand British tribal, hooliganism, fighting/aggressiveness and sports culture to think that. So there's no real need to be nowty with him.

Lets face it, British supporters create a much better atmosphere than Americans do. Americans just don`t know how to channel support to their favourites. I don`t know if they`re more "individualistic" than working class Brits but a crowd of Americans inside the MGM Grand create about as much atmosphere as the planet Pluto ( and about as much heat). Without the Mexican fans they would be as well having Las Vegas fights behind closed doors!
At the recent Craig McEwan v Ivan Stovall bout, in Irvine, California, about 40 ex-pat Scots made more noise than hundreds of Americans combined.
For that reason alone McEwan and co should be on this undercard.
    Are you listening GoldenBoy Promotions???????????
