Hopkins officially says he wants to fight Adamek

Bernard is pushing it. On a skill to skill basis he is obviously the superior fighter, but its not as if Aadmek is one dimensional. He is going to have a very very significant size and strength advantage, and he is a good enough boxer and puncher to hurt BHop.

At a certain point size has to become a factor. BHop is a hall of fame fighter, but he would be fighting 3 classes above his best weight against the Number 1 fighter in the weight class.

I know that this fight is not gonna be easy for Hopkins. Going up to 190 + pounds might just be too much for Hopkins anyway. I'm not sure if he can be as effective that high up as at 160 - 175 lbs. I will still lean towards Hopkins because of his skill and he has good height and reach but I dont know if its smart going up that high in weight. If he can get there healthy and not lose speed and sharpness but gain some strength then I think he should win this fight but we have never seen Hopkins fight at over 177 pounds and when he did he lost. His first pro bout sure but still maybe theres a reason he hasn't been fighting over 175 for the past 20 years.

Adamek must see something in Hopkins's game or he know the weight will be too much. I am sure he is aware of the Pavlik-Hopkins fight even if Adamek is a different cat.

Save this post. If this fight happens. Adamek will be victorious over hopkins. The problem with most posters on ESB is that they're just fanboys who really know nothing about matching fighters. Just because most of you losers picked pavlik over hops, and looked bad after the end result. you now do not want to make the same mistake by picking tomasz.
However, hopkins win over tarver was one over a weight drained 175-er
who hadn't fought in over a year. hops hired shilstone to help him gain 15 pounds to fight an underprepared figher. Tomasz on the other hand is a former lightheavy who has grown into the cruiser division and has been
fighting at a high level and regularly to boot. Second his power and strength advantage will be more than bernard could possibly imagine until
it's too late. There's no chance here for the old geezer. I knew he'd beat pavlik, and had a weird feeling when i saw tarver going to the ring that night. As for adamek, he's an ice cold assasin who will hand nard his 1st
KO loss if this fight happens in the next 6-8 months at 195-200 lbs.

what this do for pavlik if adamek actually beat hop does it make look worse, i am a huge pavlik fan but i think adamek has some real skill i think he has a better shot at beating b hopkins than pavlik did.

That's what I thought. Hops thinks that he could easily outbox him and he probably will but Adamek has the power and it will be interesting later in the fight.

 

Bhop went up to lhw to **** Tarver up. Adamek is not half as good as Tarver.
If Bernard doesn't get old over night he schools Adamek easily and he always had solid chin with an excellent defense. His right hand will land AT WILL

Tomasz was weight drained in his fight with Dawson. He knew he couldn't keep it up trying to hit light heavy so he moved up to cruiser.

Hopkins beat a smaller and sicker Kelly Pavlik.

much more dangerous fight than Kelly. Unlike Kelly, Thomas is an actually a smart fighter. Bhop may win if he stays on his toes and pot shot hold to victory. Bhop's chin may crumble if he takes a flush shot from adamek.
