From the early sixties: Jim Cooper, Teddy Haynes, Dave Charnley, Dave Coventry, Frankie Taylor, Jackie Brown, and Brian Cartwright. Then there were those third men in the ring such as Harry Gibbs, Mickey Fox, Pat Floyd, Bill Williams, Wally Thom, Ike Powell, and Jack Hart. Many will remember Wally Thom as a boxer.
in 1976/77? two of the lads from our club fought against a canadian team at park hall hotel in lancashire.i'm sure one of them carried our flag into the ring.
