Watch another sport. ****, what do you want? Seriously dudes like you annoy the **** out of me. So what if it isn't world class, it is too guys showing heart and competing and it is free
Stop hatin people. Alvarez vs Rodriguez was at least a competitive fight. That's more than you can ask for in a lot of fights we get on HBO and Showtime.. Neither guy is world class obviously.. but both threw a lot of punches, both had their moments, and both guys hurt the other at different times in the fight. It was a close decision between two evenly matched opponents, although the fight got a bit sloppy.. at least the crowd was into it. I enjoyed it.
Andrade didn't impress me ... I seen him fight in the amateurs ... he's fast and he seems to have skill but i'm not completely sold on him as a pro. He's in the ring with soft opposition ... I don't care if this is his 3rd fight as a pro ... he should be preparing himself for a title shot within the next couple of years ... fighting guys like that isn't going to do him any good. Gamboa got a minor title in his 8th fight as a pro ...
Andrade was in against some very soft opposition. In that kind of situation, of course, he's gonna look good.:yep
Nah Delvin Rodgriguez could punch, he is very strong, but his chin is very bad and I think he should fight Andre Berto, that is a good fight for Berto, good win under his resume. Delvin has a respectable name and is one of the better fighters at welterweight, he's top 12.
Rodriguez might have sucked, but man, I was rooting for him to win when he showed balls after breaking his wrist.
I wouldn't say two currently or formerly world-ranked professional boxers "suck," but certainly I don't think either guy is any kind of future pound-for-pound elite or somesuch. Alvarez was very frustrating. He was clearly able to hurt Rodriguez and looked like he almost had him out early in the 12th round, but just seemed completely unwilling to really jump on him and go for the kill. By the looks of things, a guy with even moderate killer instinct and finishing touch would've finished Rodriguez off; he was hurt badly, he had no legs, and he wasn't clinching or even running all that well, but Alvarez just slowly plodded towards him and threw one shot at a time every five seconds or so until Rodriguez recovered.
That fight ruled. I don't know what u people are talking about. Two guys slugging it out. What a better way to spend a friday nite watching a slugfest.
That fight wasn't even better than the fight last week ... I never seen a guy up until tonight that obvious had a guy hurt and never took advantage ...
Fight was ok, no fight of the year candidate but not too bad either. Neither guy is going to be a pfp candidate but if matched right they can make for decent fights. The fight was an ESPN level fight with ESPN level fighters....on ESPN. I thought the fight was going to be dreadful and almost skipped it altogether, so no major complaints here.
