I mentioned this kid when I gave a few welterweight contenders/prospects outside the top 5 or 6.

Certainly his record hints at a lot of potential in the sport even against limited opposition. It is not easy to do at 18 years old when the body is not even close to being fully mature.

Saw him twice - against Larry Mosley and then versus Raul Pinzon.

First impression - there's no way he is Mexican. I never saw such freakingly ginger and while-skin Mexican as Canelo Alvarez.

Second one - the guy can hit and has a good chin but his footwork and overall speed is in need of improvement. This guy loked like crap against Mosley and he barely won over journeyman. He looked scary strong against Pinzon. I think the most telling victory is his triumph over Euri Gonzalez but I've never seen it. I guess he can be a real prospect though.

I have not seen him fight but read a bit about him. Certainly seems like a prospect, given how impressive his record looks.

What are the odds he stays at WW though? I mean he's only 18 so chances are he's going to get bigger..is he more of a prospect for JMW?
